Limited edition – approximately 300 bottles from a single cask. After 10 years of ageing in American oak ex-Bourbon casks, it spent another 5 years in casks originating from the Niepoort winery. It is not without a reason that Niepoort has gained the name of “Rolls Royce of Port” within the circle of wine enthusiasts. Being a niche player has always been Niepoort’s main goal – producing the characteristic Port and Douro wines, connecting the long-lasting tradition with innovation, valuing quality over quantity, maintaining high standards. This edition’s uniqueness lies in the complexity and concentration of this product.

Origin

10-year-old rum originating from Destilería Colombiana. Its story begins in 1913, where the distillery was established in Cartagena de Indias. Since then, the Parra Arango Family has been continuously overseeing the production. The brand offers awarded rum and gin and the quality of its products is appreciated by the best bars, hotels and restaurants in New York, Paris, London, Tokyo, as well as on the remaining 70 markets. The rum has been aged in Colombia for 10 years in ex-Bourbon casks, gaining its strong character and a full palette of complex aromas and flavours.

Tasting notes

  • Nose: the long ageing process in ex-Port casks has infused it with notes of caramel, sweet spices and a hint of cocoa.

Origin

15-year-old rum originating from Destilería Colombiana located in Cartagena, Colombia. This region is famous for its tropical climate resulting in high-quality sugarcane. It is that magical balance between land and the weather that allows for the production of a unique range of high-quality rum and gin, celebrates the quintessence of the Colombian spirit. The rum has been aged in Colombia in ex-Bourbon casks for 15 years, gaining a strong character and a full palette of complex aromas and flavours.

Tasting notes

  • Nose: complexity of rum aged in ex-Sherry casks, where the sweet notes give way to the scent of smoke, roasted almonds, dried fruits and dark chocolate.
  • Palate: a flavour entirely different from that of the 15-year-old ex-Port variety, more dry and elegant, still smooth with a long, pleasant finish.
